Arsenal beat Spurs to go four points clear at the top

Goals from Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka put Arsenal firmly in control, despite a first half Harry Kane penalty.

London, UK | THE INDEPENDENT | The North London derby certainly lived up to expectations… and it’s the Gunners who claimed bragging rights.

Goals from Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka ensured derby day delight as Arsenal beat arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur to maintain top spot in the Premier League.

Partey’s wonderful strike from distance set Arsenal going, and despite a Harry Kane penalty ensuring the sides went in level at the break, a poacher’s effort from Jesus restored the Gunners lead four minutes into the second half.
