Atletico Madrid ousted holders Barcelona from the Champions League at the quarter-final stage on Wednesday while Bayern Munich also advanced to the semi-finals by eliminating Benfica.
Atletico overturned a 2-1 first-leg deficit with a 2-0 win against Barca at the Vicente Calderon secured thanks to an Antoine Griezmann brace.
Bayern progressed with a 2-2 draw in Lisbon seeing them beat Benfica 3-2 on aggregate, Arturo Vidal and Thomas Mueller getting the goals for the German side. Atletico and Bayern join Real Madrid and Manchester City in the draw for the last four.
