Buikwe, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Bidco FC returned to winning ways after a 3-0 defeat of Wakiso Giants in a Uganda Premier League match played on Saturday at the FUFA technical Centre in Njeru.
The Eastern based side took the lead through Jerome Kiirya scored their opening goal. Alex Kitata later netted a brace to ensure Bidco FC collected maximum points that sends them to second place on the log.
Abby Kikomeko, the Bidco FC head coach says that they are reigning in the critical stages of the season where every win matters to them as they battle to try and win the title.
Kikomeko says that, the boys are in good shape and getting ready for next week’s Uganda cup quarter final encounter with KCCA FC.
Meanwhile, Wakiso Giants’ goalkeeping coach, Richard Kansole said the team failed to play well because they were unable to regain momentum throughout the course of play.
Kansole further notes that, they have a small squad and most of their key players have been overly drained with injuries and fatigue throughout the course of the season, which partly explains their downward trend.
