Kampala, Uganda | FIBA BASKETBALL | City Oilers maestro Jordin Mayes was massive at the FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017 Zone 5 qualifiers that ended on October 8 when he was named the Most Valuable Player.
The American-born Mayes was also the highest points scorer at the regional basketball tournament with an average of 17.6 points per game and was also chosen as the best shooting guard in the Tournament All-Star Five.
“It is a blessing and I am grateful. I want to thank my teammates. We played hard and my coaches for trusting me to play my game,” Mayes explained.
Patriots point guard Aristide Mugabe and his teammate forward Kami Kabange, Mike Makiadi of Betway Power and center Stanley Ocitti(City Oilers) completed the lineup for the All-Star Five.
