VIDEO: DPP withdraws Maj. Kiggundu murder charges against four
Kampala, Uganda | NTV UGANDA | The Director of Public Prosecutions Mike Chibita has formally withdrawn charges of the murder of Maj. Muhammad Kiggundu against four suspects, that were pending in the High court.
State prosecutor Lillian Omara presented the withdrawal letter from the DPP, to Justice Wilson Kwesiga.
The accused are Sheikh Yahya Mwanje-the acting Deputy Amir of the Tabliq Muslim sect, Muhammad Buyondo, Abdul Wahaab Ssendegeya and Musa Ssekandi.
On Wednesday, they appeared before Buganda Road Court on fresh charges of murder and terrorism, said to have aided the rebel ADF outfit between 2010 and 2017.
