High Court Judge Wilson Masalu Musene has Friday afternoon granted bail to Muhammad Sebuwufu, the key suspect in the alleged  murder of a Kampala businesswoman Donah Betty Katushabe.

Justice Musene ordered Sebuwufu to pay sh10 million cash and deposit his passport with court as condition for his bail release.

The judge said the  court had on Thursday set a precedent by granting policeman Aron Baguma bail after just 10 days  on remand. He said therefore there is no way it  could refuse to release on bail his co-accused Sebuwufu who had also met the necessary requirements for a second time and spent 11 months on remand.

Baguma and Sebuwufu were detained for allegedly conspiring with eight other people to kidnap murder and rob businesswoman Katushabe at Pine Car Bond on Lumumba Avenue in Kampala in October 2015.
