The ceremony, held at Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday, March 15, 2024, celebrated the ingenuity of insurers across Uganda, highlighting their contributions to the industry’s evolution in 2023.
At the event, ICEA LION won two prestigious awards for its groundbreaking products in the non-life and life insurance sector. The company’s Medical Second Opinion and Annuity Plan insurance products were hailed as the most innovative solutions, revolutionizing the landscape of insurance in Uganda.
ICEA LION’s Medical Second Opinion service provides policyholders with access to expert medical advice and guidance from renowned specialists. Thomas Tayebwa, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Chief guest at the event, commended insurance companies for their pivotal role in driving sectoral penetration and safeguarding Ugandans against unforeseen risks. In his address, he emphasized the importance of vigilance against fraudulent activities within the industry, urging insurers to uphold integrity in their dealings with clients.
