Kasese | THE INDEPENDENT | Kasese on Friday hosted the World Tourism Day 2024 celebrations under the theme; Tourism and Peace.
Hundreds attended the celebrations including government agencies, ministers and schools.
The Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Tom Butiime read the President’s message urging Ugandans to use tourism to promote the country’s peacefulness to the world.
In the President’s message, Museveni said tourism plays and continues to play a critical role in rebuilding communities, restoring hope and fostering peace.
Ugandan musicians Bebe Cool and Alien Skin and kick boxer Gololo Moses rocked the day’s night with great performances.
