BEIJING, CHINA | Xinhua | “A Legend,” a Chinese domestic epic drama starring action movie icon Jackie Chan, came up third in the box office chart on the Chinese mainland on Wednesday, the first day of its screening.
The film pocketed 6.67 million yuan (934,959 U.S. dollars) on Wednesday. With its presale box office, the film’s total box office amounted to nearly 43 million yuan, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.
Crime thriller “A Place Called Silence,” continued to top the chart with a daily earning of 64.6 million yuan.
Disney’s “Inside Out 2” stayed in the second place, pocketing 7.41 million yuan.
The total box office revenue of the Chinese mainland on Wednesday stood at 95.64 million yuan. ■
