Kitagwenda, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Residents of Kaduku village Mahyoro ward Mahyoro Town Council Kitagwenda District have expressed concern over the shoddy work at the 24 kilometer Rwentuha- Mahyoro road which cost 380million Shillings.
The locals concern follows the flooding of water in Kaduku trading center whenever it rains where rain water blocks people from accessing the road.
The residents say that the water channels to their houses since there are no culverts to take it.
The residents say that the stagnant water is yet to destroy their houses and other property yet they allocated a huge amount of money on the road before asking the authorities to install culverts and open trenched to pave the way for the water.
Eng. Andrew Baguma the Kitagwenda District Engineer asked the residents to he patient as the construction works are still ongoing and the plans of installing culverts on different spots are underway.
