President of Tanzania Dr John Magufuli is expected in Rwanda today for his first foreign trip since his election last year.
Magufuli, who has been in the headlines for his fight against corruption and discouraged government officials travelling abroad to cut costs, will travel to Rwanda by road.
His trip to Rwanda is significant in that it comes at a time of a thaw in relation between the two countries, The Citizen newspaper in Dar Es Salaam said.
#Rwanda extends a special welcome to H.E. @MagufuliJP, President of the sister nation of #Tanzania! Karibu sana Mheshimiwa Rais!
