People Power’s Bobi Wine launches new political front

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The People Power Movement will channel their political activities through  a party – the National Unity Party (NUP) that they have merged with.

Leader Robert Kyagulanyi ‘Bobi Wine said the National Unity party will be the political wing, of the People Power Movement.

The National Unity Platform political party was previously headed by Nkonge Kibalama.

“Today we unveiled the National Unity Platform, the political vehicle/party which the People Power movement will use going forward. Our symbol is the Umbrella,” said People Power spokesman Joel Ssenyonyi.
