Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The FIFA World Cup trophy is in Uganda, as it continues its world tour ahead of Russia 2018. The tour, sponsored by Coca-Cola, one of the World’s largest beverage companies, serves as one avenue of cementing their relationship with their customers and the soccer fans. President Yoweri Museveni and cabinet received the trophy today, it was displayed at a VIP dinner later and will be available for the rest of Ugandans to view inside Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala on Tuesday. For one to access the ground, they will only be required to buy a bottle of soda made by Coca-Cola. This will be the second time the precious trophy is coming to Uganda since 2009.
