PICTORIAL: Intelligent, and it showed. Leah Kagasa will represent Uganda at the Miss World competition in December in the USA. The 21-year-old was crowned Miss Uganda 2016 Saturday night at Kampala Serena Hotel’s Victoria hall. She is pursuing a marketing degree, and boasts of being a hard worker. She says she ‘has worked her way up from poverty to middles class’. On the final leg, Leah Kagasa edged out two finalists – first runner-up Charlotte Kyohairwe, 20, and second runner-up Ritah Ricky Mutoni, 22. Last year’s winner Zahara Muhammad Nakiyaga crowned her successor. ALL PHOTOS BY Giulio Molfese.
