The Independent Uganda: You get the Truth we Pay the Price
Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The week-long Makerere University graduation event that started on 29th January finally reached its climax yesterday.
At least 12913 graduated in different fields. Among these, 11016 graduated with Bachelor’s degrees, 1585 Master’s degrees, 156 Postgraduate diplomas, and 24 undergraduate diplomas, while 132 will be awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.
Statistics indicate that 53% of the graduates were female and 47% male. In the category of Ph.D. graduates, 46 were female and 86 male. In the category of students who graduated with Master’s degrees, 699 were female and 886 male.
At least 85 Uganda Peoples Defense Forces- UPDF officers including Generals, Senior, and Junior Staff Officers today graduated with Master’s and Bachelors’ Degrees while others received Diplomas in different disciplines related to defense, security, and medical studies.
