PLE papers delivered to wrong examination centre in Apac

Apac, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Primary Leaving Examinations-PLE at Ibuje Primary School delayed for three hours after the centre received examination papers meant for another school.

At about 9:45 am, Ibuje Primary School with 59 candidates located in Ibuje sub-county, Apac district received the Mathematics paper meant for Boke Primary School which is sitting at Alenga Primary school examination centre.

Patrick Waca, the headteacher says that they were forced to file a complaint and inform the district supervisors about the mismatch.

By 11 am, the examination papers were yet to be delivered to the school.

Meanwhile, the heavy downpour affected the first day of the examinations in most schools in the sub-region.

Schools in Kwania and Apac district received the examination materials late as most roads remained impassable due to the rain.

At Amorigoga examination centre, in Abongomola sub county, by 9:30 am, examination papers had not yet been delivered at the centre and most candidates arrived late.

Patrick Ocweo, the headteacher of Agwa Primary School explained that although the invigilators arrived earlier, the exam materials were yet to be delivered.

However in some schools, the examination started on time.

Janet Lydia Ajwang, the headteacher of Ikwera Ngeri School for the disabled said exams started at 9:30 am and all the 44 candidates turned up.

George Odongo, the headteacher of Aninolal Primary School in Inomo sub county, said all the 44 registered candidates turned up, and the exam was delivered on time.
