Court has allowed the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to formally file an application for consideration to be represented in a case in which the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kale Kayihura is accused of brutality against protesters.
Before the hearing, several pro-Kayihura protesters displayed placards and chanted, claiming the IGP had no case to answer.
Kayihura and the complainants did not appear. Makindye magistrate Richard Mafabi adjourned the case to August 29, for the DPP to make formal application.

Yes Besigye says power belongs to the people. He rubbished the supreme court ruling, he stated he does not recognise Judges in Uganda. what are they doing in Uganda courts? The crowd are ugandans expressing their rights. They are the power as per Besigye. Besige thinks he has monopoly of demonstrating and defiance. Ugandans have come to rescue their country from Political Judges. Besigye should have been arrested long time ago for defying court order on Defiance. The demonstrators are borrowing from Besigyes behaviours. Go On Demonstrate, its your right.
