ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN | Xinhua | Pakistani security forces have killed five terrorists during an operation in the country’s northwest Tank district, the military said.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan army, said in a statement that the forces conducted an intelligence-based operation on Friday in the Mullazai area of the district in northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan.
The ISPR added that the killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous crimes, including terrorist activities, extortion and target killing of innocent civilians.
According to the ISPR, a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered from terrorists’ possession during the operation.
