SEMABET Uganda boosts Express FC with new kit sponsorship

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Express FC has partnered strategically with SEMABET Uganda, a leading online gaming platform. SEMABET will become the club’s official kit sponsor for the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League season.

The partnership is valued at up to Shs. 500,000,000, is a significant boost for EXPRESS FC, providing a wide range of playing and training kits. It also aligns with SEMABET’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which aim to contribute to the development of Ugandan football.

Andrew Kitamirike, Head of Operations at SEMABET Uganda, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We are excited to support EXPRESS FC and contribute to the growth of Ugandan football,”

“This partnership aligns with our commitment to giving back to the community through our CSR initiatives. SEMABET is dedicated to fostering positive change, both on and off the field,” Express FC CEO Ashraf Miiro welcomed the partnership, highlighting the financial benefits and the opportunity to invest in the club’s development.

He stated, “This sponsorship will enable us to enhance our squad, improve our infrastructure, and strengthen our community outreach programs. We are confident that this partnership will give us the competitive edge to challenge for the Uganda Premier League trophy,”

As Express FC prepares for the upcoming season, they will debut their new SEMABET-branded kits in their opening match against Mbale Heroes FC on Monday, September 16, at 7:00 PM at the newly renovated HAMZ Stadium.

The partnership between Express FC and SEMABET extends beyond the provision of kits.

SEMABET’s commitment to Ugandan football goes deeper, as evidenced by their active involvement in various CSR initiatives. These initiatives aim to make a positive impact on communities throughout Uganda.

One notable example is SEMABET’s project in Kyamukola village, Kabarole District. The company has provided sustainable access to clean water by installing an electric-powered well and a 20,000-liter reservoir tank, addressing a critical community need.

This demonstrates SEMABET’s dedication to social responsibility and its belief in the power of sports to drive positive change.
