Take advantage of PDM, Musenero urges students at higher learning institutions

Mbale, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Students at institutions of higher learning have been urged to get involved in Parish Development Model programs to improve their livelihood.

This call was made by Monica Musenero, the minister of Science, Innovation and Technology. She was speaking to hundreds of graduates of CCP vocational institute at Uganda Christian University Mbale branch playground on Saturday.

According to Musenero, the government released 20 million Shillings to each parish for the first phase to sensitize beneficiaries, and now more money is soon going to be released at parishes to kick off the program.

She says that students from different institutions must use this chance of elevating their income by get involved in this program.

Titus Kutosi, the secretary for St Andrews Cathedral in Mbale dioceses also warned the graduates against engaging in bad acts like homosexuality, stealing, prostitution lesbianism as a way of making quick money.

At least 236 students graduated at diploma and certificate levels in courses like catering and plumbing.
