Thrilling Absa Pro Am ends with Johnnie Walker II team victory

Golf winners at the Pro am get their prizes

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT |  The Johnnie Walker II team secured their tickets to next year’s Magical Kenya Open by winning the  Absa Bank sponsored Pro-Am tournament at the par 72 Kitante course Tuesday.

The team made up of Paul Habyarimana 43, Daniel Kalimuzo 33, Sammy Migunda 26 and Pro Ronald Rugumayo 39 with a total of 115 points. Rugumayo won himself sh3 million in his team.

HH solutions finished second with a total of 113 while Absa Bank VII ended with 112 points.

Marvin Kibirige, was the most outstanding professional with a score of 6 under par 66 in the tournament that brings together teams of Amateur and Professional golfers playing in a foursome with the Pro golfers in the top three teams claiming the prize money.

Absa Bank will be catering for the ten golfers and give professionals in the Kenya Magical Open, next year which is a European Tour event.

The top five professionals where Marvin Kibirige 42, Denis Anguyo, 40, Ronald Rugumayo 39, Paulino Kasoma 39, Namibia.
Absa Bank will cater for five Amateurs and 5 professionals in next year’s Open.
