He was one half of the Ugandan music group Goodlyfe Crew with Chameleone’s brother Weasel. Mowzey had up to 250 songs to his name, was a BET award nominee and one of Africa’s best vocalists and undoubtedly Uganda’s best song writer with more than 400 songs written.
While still at Leon Island, Radio released his first solo song, “Sweet Lady” while he was a backup singer with Weasel, behind Jose Chameleone.
After his career took off, he said it rose so fast he was also caught by surprise.
In an interview in 2014, he said “Can I tell you something? I don’t know how everything (stardom) happened. It was like magic. I woke up in the morning, I was the same guy who went to P2, who sat S4 (at Holy Cross, Wanyange, now Lake View Wanyange), but our music was hitting.”
