Kampala,Uganda | NTV UGANDA | A cross section of people from West Nile region yesterday matched on the streets of Arua town calling for the lifting of article 102b of the constitution to extend the age beyond 75 for a serving president.
Premising their argument on the proverb that wisdom comes with age, Samari Ijaga, the regional mobiliser opined that it would discriminatory to deny a person his inherent right to rule because he is old.
It will require two thirds of a vote by lawmakers to be able to lift the age limit barrier.
