THIS WEEK: Kitovu celebrates 95 years, old boys decry poor state
On July15, a ceremony was held at St. Henry’s College Kitovu to mark 95 years of the school’s existence. The headmaster of the school Bro Augustine Mugabo used the event to call for renovation of the school saying other government schools which are younger have had new infrastructure. Mugabo said they needed to replace the asbestos sheets that are still on some buildings with iron sheets.
One of the Old boys John Byabagambi, former minister of state for works contributed Shs2 million whereas Speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga who was the chief guest contributed shs5million for the school’s facelift in preparation for 2022 when the school will be celebrating 100 years.
At the ceremony however, awards were given out to some of the distinguished old boys who have been of great service to the college. Some of the school’s old boys are Gen. Elly Tumwine and entrepreneur Kaddu Kiberu.

This is one great school in our country, for us who have been blessed to go through, its a time highly treasured but indeed he government ought to come in and given to do a face lift but also the obs,for it defines who we are in society today
